Accessibility Statement

Eye care for every patient. A site for every visitor.

Puget Sound Eye Care is committed to making this site usable by everyone, including patients who navigate by keyboard, use screen readers, prefer reduced motion, or access the web on lower-spec connections. The principle is the same one we apply in the exam chair: see the person in front of you.

Standard

We target Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 Level AA. Where we fall short, we welcome being told.

What's built in

  • Skip-to-content link visible on keyboard focus
  • Focus-visible outlines on every interactive element
  • An in-page Ergonomic Mode toggle (bottom-right of every page) that disables scroll-driven motion, animations, and parallax. Honors your operating system's prefers-reduced-motion setting by default.
  • Large, high-contrast type sized for the 6-to-80-year-old patient range
  • Descriptive alt text on all informational images
  • Semantic HTML (real headings, real lists, real buttons)
  • Mobile-first responsive layout

Languages

Dr. Carol Chou offers examinations in Mandarin upon request at both Seattle and Factoria. The front desk is happy to schedule a Mandarin-language appointment.

Report a barrier

If something on this site is not working for you — a missing alt text, a contrast issue, a broken keyboard flow — please call (206) 526-5222 with the page and a brief description.
